Former pupils went back to school on Saturday as part of the second Devizes Heritage Open Day, with over 200 people having taken part.
It was the last chance for alumni from the convent school in St Joseph's Place to visit Wyndhams before it is sold for housing.
Philippa Morgan, events manager at the Trust for Devizes said: “Over 100 visitors came along to see the old school, many of them former pupils for whom this was a real journey down memory lane.”
The convent school, which closed in 1969, was mainly for girls and included a curriculum of typing and shorthand.
A total of nine buildings were open to the public throughout the day including the Masonic Hall, the Wiltshire Museum and the Town Lockup, which had guided tours by local historian John Girvan.
Other buildings that opened their doors were three of the town’s oldest churches, St James’, St John’s and St Mary’s along with new additions to this year’s event St Peter’s and the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
The Trust wants add more buildings to the list for 2015.
