Comic buffs from far and wide will flock to Melksham this weekend as the annual Comic Con event returns.

More than 1,000 people attended last year’s convention and popular demand has led to it becoming a two-day event.

Convention committee member Matt Gatty said: “Our basic aim for this year, along with the expansion to two days, was to offer even more than we have in previous years.

"We listened to attendee feedback from last year, and have tried to put as much of it in place as we possibly could.”

The third event will host a range of entertainment from workshops, stalls, face painting and balloon modelling.

The event takes place at Melksham Assembly Hall on Saturday, 10.30am-5pm, and Sunday, 11am-5pm.

Tickets cost £7 for a single day or £10 for the weekend.
