Staff say Marco Pierre White’s Pear Tree Inn in Whitely is undergoing kitchen renovations, after it closed suddenly.
A member of staff at the Rudloe Arms in Corsham, which is also owned by the chef, said The Pear Tree had been closed for at least two weeks pending kitchen renovations.
The bookings number on the pub’s website was redirecting to a Vodafone mobile.
The celebrity chef bought the 16th century inn in 2011, revamping the interior and introducing his own menu.
