THREE teams of Cub scouts braved the rain to compete in the Mid-Wiltshire district six a side football competition at Market Lavington.
The teams were from 1st Devizes, 6th Devizes and 1st Lavington Sea Scouts.
The sides were closely matched and the final finished with a penalty shoot out, with the overall winners being 1st Lavington Sea Scouts.
Kate May, assistant district commissioner for Mid-Wiltshire, said: “All of the Cubs showed great enthusiasm and team spirit and in the true Scouting way lent out players to help teams who were short on numbers. Congratulations to all teams who braved the bad weather and a big thank you to Neil Hickton for refereeing the competition.
“We hope to have more teams compete next year as it will be the 30th year the competition has been running.”
