Truck fanatic Hannah Rose Woodruffe saw her dream become reality when Devizes company RT Keedwell named one of its trucks after her.

The 13-year-old, who attends Lavington School in Devizes, had previously contacted Eddie Stobart about getting one of its trucks named after her, but was told there was a three-year waiting list.

But City West Commercials, a commercial vehicle dealer for Mercedes-Benz, stepped in after hearing about Hannah’s wish when she visited the Wessex Truck Show last summer with her dad Matt. It got her in touch with RT Keedwell and asked if it could help.

The company said it would be happy to help and unveiled the name Hannah Rose on one of its trucks and she was given a short trip with her dad around Devizes in the newly named truck.

Hannah said: “It was disappointing to hear that I would have to wait three years when I contacted Eddie Stobart, but it was a dream come true to get this truck named after me.

“I have been interested in trucks for several years and it was really cool and exciting to get a trip in the truck as well.

“The driver Scott was really nice and I also got a goody bag at the end of it.”

Mr Woodruffe said: “We were very much in the right place at the right time at the show.

“We want to thank everyone at RT Keedwell and City West Commercials and especially Scott for driving us.”
