Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a 22-year-old motorcyclist died in Devizes this morning.
The incident took place this morning shortly before 7.40am on Prison Bridge, Devizes, involving a motorcycle and a bus.
The bus driver and passengers were all uninjured.
A police spokesman said: "The motorcyclist, a 22-year-old male from the Devizes area, received emergency medical treatment at the scene but sadly died as a result of his injuries."
Diversions were in place through Rowde with the road being reopened at noon.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them immediately on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
Police officers will remain in the area conducting further enquiries.
