Families enjoyed a day out in the sun when they took part in an orienteering session organised by Rushall Primary School.

The school enlisted the help of Oxenwood Outdoor Education Centre who set up more than 50 controls in fields near the grounds.

The event was supported by parents who came along for the day to work together in family teams and demonstrated their map-reading and problem solving skills.

Katie Turner, deputy headteacher, said: β€œIt was a fabulous opportunity to have the school community come together and take advantage of our lovely rural setting.”

After tackling the challenging terrain the families enjoyed tea and cakes provided by the Parent Teacher and Friends Association.
