Devizes and District Motor Club has raised more than £1,000 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

The club has raised money for the charity for a number of years and the amount raised this time is £1,250.

The club has 65 members and organises rallies including an overnight navigation rally on Salisbury Plain, auto solos, which are timed manoevering tests on a field at Kemble, plus a classic car run.

John Rogers, a member of the club, said: “We usually raise about £1,000 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance through our events and collections throughout the year.

“We support the air ambulance because you never know when you might need them.”

The club meets on the first Tuesday of the month at the Oliver Cromwell pub at Edith’s Marsh, near Bromham, and welcomes new members.

The club is open to people from across the area who enjoy motor sport.

It organises a 12-car navigation rally and a scatter rally every month for its members.
