Brownies were out in force at the Cotswold Water Park on Friday to work towards one of their badges.

Around 30 members of the 3rd Wootton Bassett Brownies were at the park to work on their Out and About badge. Using a Cotswold Water Park Walks Guide the youngsters had to navigate using landmarks and a map.

Susan Finnegan, leader of the 3rd Wootton Bassett Brownies, said: “3rd Royal Wootton Bassett Brownies and their leaders had a great time map reading at Cotswold Water Park, as part of their work towards their Out and About badge.”

Thanks to the guides the Brownies found their way along the paths without getting lost, leading the adults on a lovely circular walk of one of the lakes near the Gateway Information Centre near South Cerney.

The activity was organised by Jill Bewley, of the Cotswold Water Park Trust, said: “We are always really pleased to help encourage them to explore the area, and to discover different places.”
