People flocked to Devizes and Roundway open gardens as hot and dry weekend weather made it a great success, according to organisers.
Last year’s event was marred by relentless rain.
The event raised money for Devizes Mayor Sarah Bridewell’s charities: the Devizes branch of the British Heart Foundation, Bag4Sport and Devizes Food Bank.
A total of 21 residents opened their gardens, while St John’s Church and the Church of the Immaculate Conception had floral displays.
Mrs Bridewell visited all the gardens and said: “It was the least I could do. All the gardens were fantastic.”
The event raised £1,200 compared to last year’s £750.
Zena Robson, chairman of Devizes and Roundway in Bloom, said: “All the gardeners are stars in my eyes.”
