Devizes Town Council is to investigate ways of stopping young drivers from parking on the small Green.
At a meeting, councillor Sue Evans said she had received complaints from residents of The Island, next to the Green, about non- residents’ cars blocking their entrance and of litter and loud music associated with the cars parking there.
The cars access the Green by a track next to The Island.
Inspector Matthew Armstrong of Devizes Police said officers have been giving warnings to young drivers about anti-social behaviour and if it continued they could be prosecuted.
Councillors agreed town council officers should investigate some form of physical barrier, such as planters, to deter drivers.
