Drug-sniffer dogs and their handlers will be on patrol at Stonehenge for the summer solstice, say Wiltshire Police.
The force was today warning about how any offenders would dealt with during the summer solstice celebrations at Stonehenge as they issued their latest advice to those attending.
The event is managed by English Heritage with support from police and others this evening into Saturday morning, when the solstice occurs.
Supt Gavin Williams said: ""English Heritage have conditions of entry to the event and we ask that those attending adhere to these conditions.
"Officers with passive drugs dogs will be working at the event and amnesty bins will be available.
"As in previous years, we will deal with any incidents as we would during the night time economy across Wiltshire.
"If anyone has any concerns on the night they should speak to a police officer or a steward.
"Our priority is to ensure that Solstice 2014 is a safe and peaceful event and we hope that everyone attending enjoys the celebrations."
Stonehenge will be open from 7pm today until 8am tomorrow.
Access to the stones and the car park is free of charge and subject to conditions of entry which are published on the English Heritage website here
