Traffic cones were placed in Commercial Road, Devizes, tonight to warn drivers not to park there tomorrow.
The street, which is strewn with debris from trees in St Mary's Churchyard almost daily, is rarely cleaned partly because there are no parking restrictions on one side of the road so cars would obstruct cleaning teams.
One resident said: "We have had letters from Wiltshire Council asking people not to park in Commercial Road on Wednesday, May 28, as it will be cleaned.
"Leaves and other bits and pieces from the trees make the pavement slippery and block the drains.
"It would be a relief to have a clean road and pavement, even if for only a while, so we really hope people can find somewhere else to park tomorrow."
