Police officers from the Major Crime Investigation Team are continuing to search in Ramsbury in relation to the Sian O'Callaghan murder investigation and this is expected to continue into next week.
Sian O’Callaghan, 22, from Swindon was abducted and brutally murdered in March 2011.
Specialist search teams are carefully draining a pond at Ramsbury so that fingertip searches can take place of the silt at the bottom.
This meticulous process, which involves officers from Wiltshire Police and the Avon and Somerset force, will continue over the weekend and into next week.
The examination of items already found there, which includes a shotgun and women's clothing, is also still taking place.
Hilldrop Lane will remain closed until the searches are complete and diversions are in place.
