A PURTON woman who stole hundreds of designer handbags must pay back £117,000 she was told yesterday at Cardiff Crown Court.
Mother-of-two Jayne Rand, of Clardon Lane, was caught by “eagle-eyed” staff at House of Fraser in Cwmbran, bringing an end to a three-year spree of stealing 905 handbags from shops around the UK. She now has six months to pay £117,171.70.
She ran a business selling the handbags, worth around £135,000 in total, on eBay, where she made 838 sales.
Rand was jailed in October last year to serve two 18-month prison sentences concurrently.
