The famous Wadworth shire horses will make an appearance in Lacock next month, as two village pubs host a beer festival and family fun day.
Monty and Max, the Devizes brewer’s last two remaining working horses, will have a day off from their day job of delivering beer to local pubs on June 14, when they will visit the Red Lion and George Inn.
Red Lion manager Sarah Jackson said: “People can come along for a great day of fun and meet Max and Monty between noon and 2pm.
"There will be plenty of photo opportunities so make sure you bring your camera.”
The event will include stalls, face painting and a raffle and tombola, alongside a beer and cider festival and barbecue. The evening will then host a range of live bands, who will perform at the Red Lion.
