WILTSHIRE law firm Awdry Bailey and Douglas has joined the campaign to make England more dementia friendly.
Two staff at their Devizes office have become Dementia Friends champions, an initiative by Alzheimer’s Support to help members of the public understand what it might be like to live with dementia.
Legal assistant Catherine Cole and solicitor Nicola Hibbert are holding a drop-in information session about Dementia Friends at their office in St John’s Street, Devizes, on Thursday, May 22, from 10am to 11.30am.
Ms Hibbert said: “I signed up to be a Dementia Friends champion because I see many clients who are living with dementia and I wanted to do as much as possible to make their experience a better one. It’s easy to get involved.
“I signed up through the website and attended a one-day training course on how to deliver the sessions. I’m so proud to be part of a growing network of people helping to create dementia-friendly communities across England.”
To attend, call Keshani Douglas on (01380) 722311.
