Marlborough High Street reopened at 11.45 this morning after two fire crews tackled a bus fire outside Lloyd’s Bank.
The fire service was called at 8.34am and crews from Marlborough and Calne attended the fire, which started in the engine of a Stagecoach bus.
Paramedics at the scene treated the driver, who tried to extinguish the fire, for smoke inhalation.
The fire was extinguished and parts of the bus were cut away to make sure it had not spread.
Firefighters left the scene by 10.50am and the road has now been reopened but a section remains cordoned off.
