Mum-of-two Natalie Cotton is desperately searching for her engagement ring, which had a diamond belonging to her late mother-in-law set into it.

Mrs Cotton, 38, of Rodgers Meadow, Marlborough, believes the gold ring, with a round cut diamond in a square casing, was most likely dropped, along with her wedding ring and gold Seiko watch, outside the village hall in Avebury.

She had taken the two rings off and attached them to the strap of her watch, which she put on her lap, to put hand cream on during the drive to drop her children, Sebastian and Noa, at holiday camp.

She said: “I was absolutely devastated when I realised I had dropped it because as well as being my engagement ring, it has my late mother-in-law’s diamond which is very old.”
