Chippenham residents will get a chance to give their views at the annual town meeting on Wednesday, May 7.

A parish meeting has to be held by ever English parish and is not a council meeting but is a meeting of registered electors arranged by the town council.

It takes place in the Town Hall, High Street, Chippenham, at at 6.30pm.

Sue Wilthew, the chief executive of Chippenham Town Council, said: "Every effort will be made to answer questions raised at this meeting but written questions received before the meeting would be helpful.

"There will be an update from the police, presentations on the work of Chippenham Borough Lands Charity, changes to Chippenham Area Board, the Schools Engagement Initiative and a PowerPoint presentation on the work of the council.

"This will be followed by the real purpose of the meeting - the electors’ question time."

"This is your town so please come along and have your say. Your views matter."

Written questions should be sent to Sue Wilthew, Chief Executive, Chippenham Town Council, High Street, Chippenham, SN15 3ER, by Monday, April 28.
