A man in his 30s riding a motorcycle along Porte Marsh Road in Calne was airlifted to hospital on Wednesday at 5.14pm after an accident involving a car.

The man, thought to be from Calne, suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident and was airlifted to the Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.

He was still in hospital yesterday afternoon. Police closed Oxford Road at the junction to Porte Marsh Road and also the Sainsbury’s roundabout on Oxford Road from 5.30pm to 9.51pm.
