Oganisations working with young people in Marlborough are being asked to get involved with an engagement day.
The event aims to get young people involved with different activities in Marlborough and surrounding villages.
It will take place alongside the annual skate series at the recreation ground in Margaret’s Mead and is aimed at enthusiasts aged 13 and above.
Jan Bowra, youth development co-ordinator, said: “The event isn’t about the youth service, even though we’re the ones pulling it together, its wider than that, it’s about the community coming together and celebrating that.
“If we even get two or three young people walking away more equipped with information then the event was worthwhile.
“We will have stalls there for young people who are not in education or training to get advice and find out opportunities for apprenticeships.
“We’re looking for people working with young people, or who want young people to volunteer for them and want to advertise what it is they do, it’s all about young people getting involved with their community.
“Also we’re looking for ex-members of the youth centre to attend so they can give testimonies about what they got from being here, was it a great experience to have a centre they can access?”
