Another six members of 2nd Devizes Guides have been awarded their Baden Powell awards, the highest accolades that Guides can achieve.
Four of the six received their awards on March 27: Flora Kelly, Lexi Scott, Bethan Ellis and Cara Drabble, all 14. Flora and Cara go to Devizes School, Lexi to St Augustine’s and Bethan to Amesbury.
Devizes School pupils Chloe Garmson, 14, and Sarah Hampton,15, were presented with their awards on April 3.
Guide leader Paula Postlethwaite said: “All the girls have been in Guides between three and four years and have taken part in many activities during this time such as camps and sleepovers, fundraising, parades, trips out, outdoor cooking, and district events.
“For their awards the girls completed ten clauses and participated in a weekend away for their final adventure.
“All the girls took part in running Guide meetings with various themes such as Fairtrade and sports. They made posters about global issues and ones about themselves, made ICT resources for the unit and completed badges.”
