Horse riders are being invited to sign up for the Tytherton Fun Ride on Sunday, April 6, which starts from Field Farm, Bremhill, at 10am.

The ride, which attracted 310 riders last year, is an annual event, held since 1986, to support village organisations.

Each year, money raised is divided between the churches and village halls of Bremhill, Foxham, Tytherton Lucas and East Tytherton.

Money also goes to Christian Malford Primary School and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, which relies on public support to keep the medics flying.

Riders can choose from six different six-mile and 12-mile routes on the day, which will all be well signposted and include optional jumps.

They can start at any time between 10am and 1.30pm. Registration opens at 9.30am and ends at 1.15pm.

This year’s event is being sponsored by estate agents Chesterton Humberts.
