Chippenham-born MP Jeremy Corbyn is joining historians and trade unionists in a history event in Chippenham tomorrow.
The Labour backbencher, born in Chippenham, is talking about his journey from Wiltshire to Westminster, at the Wiltshire Radical History Day organised by the White Horse Trades Union Council.
A similar event was held in Bradford on Avon in 2010.
Among the talks tomorrow, Melissa Barnett, curator of Chippenham Museum, will tell the story of Dame Florence Hancock, one of the country’s early woman trade union leaders, while trade unionist Rosie MacGregor will give a talk on Wiltshire activist Angela Gradwell Tuckett.
The event takes place at The Cause on The Causeway from 10am to 4pm.
Entry is free, but to register in advance, email rosiemacgregor@icloud.com
