Chippenham Rotary Club is inviting golfers to take to the fairways in April for its annual golf classic and charity auction, which will raise funds for Dorothy House Hospice Care.

The event, on Thursday, April 10, is the club’s ninth golf classic day. It takes place at the Manor House Golf Club, Castle Combe, and is suitable for any level of player.

The course is considered to be one of the finest in the south west and was created in 1992 by BBC commentator Peter Alliss and his design partner Clive Clark.

Rotarian and event organiser Jerry Dix said “We are indebted to this incredible list of supporters and, of course, to the loyal band of golfers who come back each year.”

Entry forms for this four-player team event are available from www.chippenham rotary.org or call Dorothy House on (01225) 721480.

The closing date for applications is April 3 and the fee is £50 per player.
