A date has been set for a fun day in Worton being organised by the family of little Isambard Pickford.
Paul and Hilary Hams, his grandparents, who run Hams Transport in Devizes, are to hold a fete in the grounds of their home in the village on July 26 to support our Give Us A Chance Appeal.
Mr Hams is determined to do his bit to help the nursery which Izzy, three, who has diplegia cerebral palsy, attends twice a week.
His parents, Rachel and Tim Pickford, are throwing themselves into organising the event, which will include fairground rides, people dressed as TV characters, veteran vehicles and stalls.
Mrs Pickford said: “My dad wanted to organise something and now he is getting all of his contacts involved. The village is very supportive so hopefully we’ll get some decent weather.
“We are hoping to get as much stuff as possible donated so we can make as much money as possible.”
