More dog fouling in Corsham has been reported to the police and, in turn, Wiltshire Council.

The town’s Neighbourhood Policing Team has received a spate of calls complaining about dog mess in footpaths and thoroughfares, which is a civil, rather than criminal matter.

Beat manager PC Hazel Anderson said: “We have had a number of reports in the Corsham area, so I have contacted the dog warden and street care team at Wiltshire Council and asked someone to have a look at it to prevent it happening, or continuing so much.

“It’s in a lot or areas used a lot by kids; the footpaths running along Paul Street have been quite bad, as well as Priory Street by the corner of the Town Hall and the footpaths round by Springfield Leisure Centre.”

Any incidents of dog fouling can be reported directly to the council on 0300 4560100, or via the new MyWiltshire smartphone app.
