A man who is accused of carrying out a serious assault last year has been remanded in custody by a judge.
Lee Turner, 25, is charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in relation to the alleged incident in the early hours of Sunday, October 6, last year.
Turner is also said to have had a camouflaged folding knife on New Park Street, Devizes, on the same day.
Turner, of Spencer Close, Swindon, is further charged with common assault of a woman in the alleged incident close to The Crown pub.
No charges were formally put to the defendant when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday and he did not enter any pleas.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case until Friday, May 9, and remanded him in custody until then.
