A pancake lunch organised by Marilyn and Peter Hognson on Shrove Tuesday at their home in Brinkworth was fully booked in advance.

The main course featured two pancakes, filled with spinach and curd cheese, and lentils, tomatoes and mushrooms, topped with cheese. sauce, and served with salad.

The dessert pancakes featured fillings of coffee sauce, raisins and walnets, and rich chocolate and orange sauce.

The event raised £300 to benefit Braydon Chapel Restoration fund. It is to undergo major works to replace a floor that is infested with woodworm and to install new heating.
