parenting expert Jane Evans’s first book will be published next week.
The mum from Sutton Benger, pictured right, has written How Are You Feeling Today Baby Bear? especially for pre school children who’ve seen violence in the home.
It’s written so that children can read it with adults and professionals to explore issues around aggression and violence.
Jane said: “In the UK at least 750,000 children a year are known to witness domestic violence, many of them are very young and see and hear things no child should.
“But it can be next to impossible to help a traumatised child recover if they cannot understand or speak about what they have witnessed.”
Jane has worked with families and children across the country who’ve been affected by domestic violence.
Details can be found at http://bit.ly/LUpxY9 and the book is published on Friday February 28 by Jessica Kingsley Publishing.
