A 41-year-old man is to face trial by judge and jury accused of sexually abusing a young girl.
Aubrey Carter pleaded not guilty to three counts of sexual activity with a child when he appeared at Swindon crown court on Friday.
It is alleged he carried out a sex act with the girl, when she was aged 14 or 15, between the start of 2012 and mid May last year.
He is then said to have had sex with her on two occasions between Wednesday, May 8, and Saturday, May 11, 2013.
Carter, of Cornflower Close, Calne, denied all three allegations which relate to the same child.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to Monday, August 18, when Carter is to face trial on the charges.
He released him on bail on condition he does not have contact with the complainant or anyone under 16 unless supervised by an adult.
