A bus driver who takes children to school in Brinkworth is due to attend court charged with driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

A man was arrested at Dauntsey Green after the school run last Thursday.

Police approached the driver near Brinkworth Earl Danby’s CE Primary School between 8.50am and 9.15am.

David Papworth, 54, of The Maltings, Royal Wootton Bassett, is due to appear before magistrates in Chippenham on Thursday, February 13.

The manager of his now former employer AD Rains Coaches, Adrian Griffiths, said he had not been aware of the charge but Mr Papworth had resigned from his position last week.
