Cashbrokers have opened a new store on Market Street in Chippenham.

Cashbrokers are the largest independently owned, family run pawnbrokers in the UK.

Store owner Kevin Stratford said: “In the current financial climate the banks are not lending money, in a time of need.

“The purpose of pawnbroking and buyback is to give people the opportunity to lend funds without the risk of incurring further debt.

“Because they are secured against your luxury items, it ensures the customer cannot get any further into debt.”

Cashbrokers also offer gold buying services, along with cheque cashing, travel money and a range of second-hand jewellery.

Can someone take it on board that Chippenham does not have a "Market Street" We do have "Market Place" though. Wiltshire Gazette should know that.

Chippenham Town centre continues it's slide downwards... 20 Years ago it had all you needed, now it has all for the needy.

Have the towns 30,000 residents forgotten it exists?
