Wiltshire courses offer first aid skills at workplace
7:00am Monday 10th February 2014 in News
Courses are being offered in Wiltshire this month for people to learn about first aid in the workplace.
The Learning Curve is running Emergency First Aid at Work (Level 2), which has been designed to cater for basic first aid incidents in smaller workplaces that present few health and safety risks.
The one-day course, which fulfils the requirement of The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, is being provided free to those on ESA or JSA or £30 to others.
Assessment is ongoing by the instructor throughout the course and attendees can have a free one-to-one advice session with a qualified National Careers Service Adviser.
Upon completion of the course, first aiders are allowed to practise for three years after which requalification is necessary.
The course dates and venues are: February 15 at Devizes Children’s Centre at Southbroom Infant School; February 17 at Learning Curve Headquarters in Melksham and February 20 at Turning Point in Trowbridge.
