Residents from a Wiltshire care home spent some time with local firefighters to mark National Hug Day.
The idea came about as Ferfoot Care Home resident Jo Baker served in the fire brigade for more than 20 years during his working life.
So staff and residents from Ferfoot decided to ‘Hug A Hero’, and invited local firefighters to visit the home for a big hug.
The care home, in Old Hardenhuish Lane, Chippenham, provides residential dementia care for up to 52 elderly people. It is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, founded in 1994 by mother and son team Helena and Paul Jeffery.
