Devizes Town Council has agreed to calls by residents of Queens Road to extend double yellow lines to improve safety for motorists and pedestrians.

As a result of meetings with residents, town councillors agreed to make a recommendation to Wiltshire Council to extend the double yellow lines at the east end of Queens Road by one space to increase visibility at the junction with Potterne Road.

They are also seeking to extend double yellow lines between numbers 43 and 39 on the north side of the road and between numbers 60 and 48 on the south side of the road to increase safety along the bend in the road.
