Fresh calls have been made to Marlborough Town Council to put up a shelter at the bus stop near the One Stop shop in the High Street.
The idea was discussed at amenities and open spaces meetings last year, but nothing materialised. Now former councillor Graham Francis has raised the issue again with the town council.
He said bus users should not have to shelter from rain under the eaves of the shop.
Mr Francis, of Cromwell Mews, said: “I know that the town clerk was concerned that maybe some of our bus services could be curtailed in the present financial climate, but I feel sure that the Line 4 service to the villages and Calne, which connects with the routes to Devizes, Avebury and Trowbridge, is well used and will survive.”
The council agreed to put a shelter on its next agenda.
