Corsham School teachers, pupils and parents are celebrating after another successful showing in this year’s league tables.

The Tynings school was ranked 13th out of 42 schools in the local authority for its number of students getting five or more A* to C grades.

It had 242 pupils eligible at in Year 11, with 68 per cent of them getting five or more A* to C-grades at GCSE or equivalent including English and maths. 27 per cent of pupils also achieved the English Baccalaureate.

Headteacher Martin Williams said: “I am delighted with the results the students achieved at GCSE and at A-level.

“The very high levels of performance are an accurate testament to the effort od the students, staff, parents and governors.

“The success of the students is richly deserved.”
