All the world was a stage for pupils at Corsham’s St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School as they took part in two weeks of Shakespeare-inspired art projects.

Youngsters at the Lacock Road school ended the fortnight with an exhibition on Tuesday when they showed off their work to their parents.

Headteacher Rita McLoughlin said: “After Christmas, as an antidote to the January blues, we had a fortnight where every class throughout the school was doing a big art project as well as studying a play.

“We looked at writing poetry and soliloquies, and every single class had an ambitious project.”

The Shakespearean project has influenced different lessons at the school, with art, English, history and even maths classes working around the theme.
