Devizes Travelodge is celebrating a new look as part of a £233 million refurbishment programme across the company.

The 53-room hotel, which opened in 2008 in London Road, was refurbished in just one week, being carried out by Travelodge’s in-house maintenance team.

It features a new room design and luxury Travelodge Dreamers, which Travelodge describes as 'the Rolls-Royce of beds'.

Romona Iojescu, Devizes Travelodge manager, said: “We are very excited to have benefitted from this investment.

"The work was carried out with no disturbance to our day to day operation and the feedback we have received from customers has been outstanding.

"Everyone loves the new warm, contemporary feel of our new room and there is no doubt the hero of the room is definitely the Travelodge Dreamer bed.

“The demand for good quality branded budget accommodation in the area is growing at great pace, and now that we have a new room design we are offering even greater value in the local marketplace.”

By autumn, 85 per cent of Travelodges will incorporate the new room design, meaning the makeover will see an average of more than 50 rooms refurbished every single day since it began in March 2013.

The scale of the refurbishment programme means 60,000 tins of paint being used and 30,000 new beds – enough to cover nine football pitches - being installed .

The Travelodge Dreamer bed is produced by royal warrant holders Sleepeezee Ltd, renowned internationally for their experience and craftsmanship.

Travelodge's new room design features a 'sleep inducing colour palette' in blue, along with a larger desk, new carpet, artwork above the bed and a stylish white contemporary en-suite bathroom.

The refit will also see a redesign of the hotel chain’s public areas.
