The wonders of The Wizard of Oz will come to the Neeld Hall, Chippenham, from January 26 until February 2.

The cast of youngsters aged from six to 17 from Chippenham Hi-Lights have been rehearsing for around eight months under the watchful eye of producer Verina Vanzillotti at the West End Club, Chippenham.

She said: “It is a very young cast but they are all very enthusiastic and I am confident they are going to do really well. The shows teach them an awful lot such as confidence and how to work as part of a team and they all seem to really enjoy performing.”

The part of Dorothy is played by Rhianna with Jacob as the Tin Man, Katie as the Lion, Kira as the Scarecrow, Bobbie as the witch and Tianna as the good witch.

The only adult in the cast is Deborah Avery, who plays the part of the wizard.

Tickets are now on sale. People can call (01249) 448054 to book tickets, which cost £8.50 for adults and £5.50 for children.
