DUNCAN Hames MP visited Cereal Partners UK’s Staverton base last month to learn about the investment at the site and how Nestlé brands including Shredded Wheat and Shreddies are made.

He met with manager Steve Ford and some of his 170 staff. He visited the factory’s combined heat and power plant, part of an £8m investment in the business, which produces energy and steam for the site.

Mr Hames said: “It was good to see the investment the factory is making to cut carbon emissions, and the pride it takes in its operations.”

He also met with students and graduates who are being given an opportunity to develop their fledgling careers at the Staverton factory.

Mr Hames said: “It’s great to see local employers creating opportunities for young people as we build a stronger economy here in Wiltshire.”
