A man charged with carrying out a serious assault has been remanded in custody.

Jethu Singh is accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to an alleged incident on Sunday, December 1.

Singh, 27, of Herridge, Collingbourne Ducis, is said to have assaulted Bheem Rathore.

No charges were formally put to Singh, who appeared before Swindon Crown Court on Friday by video link, and he did not enter any pleas.

Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday, March 14, and remanded Singh in custody until then.
