Calne Police plea after attempted Christmas Day burglary at Sainsbury’s

Police in Calne are appealing for help identifying a number of individuals in connection with an attempted burglary at Sainsbury’s on Christmas Day at about 2am.

A group of people are reported to have made their way around from the front of the store to climb a boundary fence at the rear before trying to gain access.

They were unsuccessful and left a short time later.

Officers are keen to identify and speak to those shown in the CCTV image and to also trace and speak to the driver of a 4x4 car that can be seen in another image that picked up two members of the group.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PCSO Mark Cook at Calne Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
