HILLWORTH Park in Devizes will be hosting a visit by Santa with carol singing and seasonal food to enjoy.

The free event, on Sunday from 5pm–7pm, is organised by Devizes Town Council.

Santa and Devizes mayor Pete Smith will visit the park and meet children in the Pavilion grotto. There will be a barbecue with hot food and the park café will be open, serving mulled wine and mince pies. A Christmas wish can be posted on the special tree outside and the organisers are even promising snow.

Carole Berry, direct services manager at the town council, said entertainment would be provided by school choirs from Wansdyke and St Joseph’s schools as well as the First Stages singers.

She said: “Blues entertainer Benji Clements will also feature. Donations can be made to the Mayor’s Appeal charities.”
