A team of seven hardworking volunteers have been recognised for their dedication in helping parents around Corsham.
The group, aged 24 to 54, all work at the Barnado’s Sure Start Children’s Centre in Kings Avenue, and have given more than 600 hours of their time to run activities and events in the past year.
They were presented with the Marsh Trust Barnado’s Volunteer of the Year Award after being nominated by project worker Adele Radice.
She said: “We are sincerely grateful to all of the volunteers. They provide a warm welcome to families who are new to the children’s centre.”
The centre serves Corsham and the neighbouring villages of Box, Colerne, Yatton Keynell and Lacock.
