Teddy bears from across Corsham came out to the Pound Arts Centre on Tuesday to help local author Krysia Chrzanowska-Hunt launch her first book.
The mother-of-three, who works as a freelance ‘nature ranger’ and part-time in the Pound’s cafe, was joined by a host of teddies and their owners for a reading from Teddy Edward’s Rainbow Walk.
The group recreated Teddy Edward’s walk in the book, searching for the colours of the rainbow in nature around the Pound Pill centre.
She said: “It was the most wonderful launch I could have asked for – the weather was perfect, we had an excellent turnout and lots of lovely families.”
The book also features lyrics to a song she wrote, and all her own illustrations.
She said: “It’s a book I wrote for a family workshop a few months ago. It didn’t take long to write, but it took a long time to get it published.
“I’m working on my second; some of the mothers who come to my nature tots class say it would be nice to have a book with more of the songs I sing at the group.”
The book is available at the Corsham Bookshop.
