Sergeant’s hopes as he joins neighbourhood team
1:30pm Saturday 19th October 2013 in News
Sergeant Ronnie Lungu has filled the space left vacant at Devizes police station after Sgt Joanna Spencer was injured in a car accident.
Sgt Lungu, 39, a father of three who lives in Trowbridge, has been with Wiltshire Police for ten years, working first with the neighbourhood policing team in Trowbridge and then its response team. When he was promoted to sergeant he moved to the response team in Salisbury.
He said he is pleased to be in Devizes, which he described as a beautiful market town that he came to know while he was with the Trowbridge response team.
He said: “While I am here I am keen to develop relationships with hard-to-reach groups like youth and ethnic minorities. If they have any issues I would appreciate them inviting me for a chat.”
He can be called via 101.
