Mum-of-three Anna Baker fears her two pedigree Persian cats have been stolen.

She says her pets are well known in the area around her home in Sprats Barn Crescent, Royal Wootton Bassett, because they are so distinctive and unusual.

“Everyone knows them because they are unique,” she said. “But I’ve asked around and no-one has seen them: they’re just gone.

“Yet in the three-and-a-half years since I’ve had them, they have never gone missing.”

Mrs Bakers fears were further raised following a report in the Gazette two weeks ago in which police in Chippenham warned pet owners to be on their guard following reports of two men driving a green Land Rover and a white pick up truck who were suspected to be scouting the area for pets. White chalk markings were reported on roads and doors.

She believes her cats were taken on Thursday October 3, from the corner of Manor Hill Crescent, where they liked to sit, and where chalk marks were on the road. She has reported the matter to police and to the RSPCA.
